Mark’s philosophy is that everyone should have all their options explained to them so that they can make an informed decision about their treatment. This may range from replacing missing teeth with dentures through to a full reconstruction on implants.

Mark qualified from the prestigious Guys Hospital Dental School in 1991, passed membership exams of the Faculty of General Dental Practice in February 1998 and in July 2004 he was awarded the Advanced Level Certificate of the Diploma in Implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons followed in October 2009.

For 10 years Mark worked at Manchester University Dental Hospital where he worked in the department of Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgery, exclusively spending his time working on all aspects of surgical dental implantology. This gave him valuable experience treating very advanced cases including patients who had significant deformities caused by extreme trauma and in the rehabilitation of patients who had surgery for oral cancer.

Mark was course tutor on the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons. This has been formally recognised by the General Dental Council as the gold standard course in implant education in the United Kingdom. He was invited to be a tutor on this programme at its inception in 2003 and has been involved with the programme ever since.

Mark is also an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow at Manchester University Dental Hospital where he is involved in teaching Postgraduate students on the Masters degree course in Implant Dentistry.
